Staff & Leadership
Our pastor, staff, and leaders are here to serve the community!

Matt Marzluft
Pastor
Rev. Dr. Matt Marzluft has been the lead pastor of PCC since September, 2022. Matt came from a Catholic background and gave his life to Christ at a youth summer camp. His full-time ministry experience began with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship when he served for six years on two college campuses in his native northern California. He then studied at Fuller Theological Seminary (ordained 1991, Doctorate of Ministry 2008). For over three decades Matt has enjoyed pastoring in large and medium churches with a high view of Jesus Christ and Scripture. Now he feels called to smaller church communities (under 100) because of a commitment to relational ministry and the power of friendship to communicate God’s love. PCC is his perfect fit!

Casey Janser
Youth Director
Casey Janser grew up at PCC. A lover of Sunday school from 3 years old on, he learned the stories about Jesus, embraced God’s Word for himself, and got more and more involved in the ministry of PCC into his teens. Casey has a deep appreciation for God’s handiwork in nature, enjoying regular hiking, backpacking and camping. Other hobbies include record collecting, going to tag sales, flea markets, antiquing, cooking/baking. Recently his youth hosted the Swedish Pancake Breakfast, a hit in the Granby community and beyond. This summer Casey will be the outdoor Activities Director for Camp Squanto at Pilgrim Pines Camp and Retreat Center in New Hampshire. Casey plays guitar, has played and sung in a band, and enjoys many kinds of music. He is currently studying Communications at Asnuntuck Community College.
Leadership & Council
As a congregational church in the Evangelical Covenant denomination, the church council has the responsibility of decision-making regarding PCC's ministries, budget, property, and mission endeavors. In addition, PCC leaders may seek guidance and assistance from the East Coast Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), its superintendent, or from the ECC national office. Church leaders are elected by the congregation at an annual meeting. Currently PCC has eight members on the church council. Quarterly congregational meetings give the wider body an opportunity to assess the direction of the church’s ministry and mission, make suggestions, bring matters to a vote, and otherwise make its views known.
