The Pilgrim Covenant Church Gospel Singing Competition 2022 is scheduled for June 11th at 7:00PM at our church at 605 Salmon Brook Street in Granby, CT.

Seating is limited, so please reserve your seats in advance. The cost of a ticket is $5 per seat.

Scot Haney keeps Connecticut updated with the most-accurate weather forecasts especially tailored to the morning commute. You can see Scot weekdays on Eyewitness News This Morning from 4:30 to 7 a.m. He also co-hosts "Great Day Connecticut" weekdays on Channel 3 at 3 p.m. and his warm personality and enjoyable character are a welcome addition to the Channel 3 Early Warning Weather team.

Scot earned his bachelor's degree from St. John's University in New York City, his master's degree at Syracuse University and completed his education as a meteorologist to fulfill the qualifications of the American Meteorological Society.

His contributions to the community include volunteering at various events. Whether it's helping organizations raise money for a cure or spending time with children, Scot makes a personal commitment to help anyway he can. "There are too many great things about this job to just pick one, but if I had to pick, it's having a positive influence on the viewers," Scot said.

In 2007, My Sisters' Place honored Scot with the organization's "Advocate Award" for "his extraordinary effort in bringing attention to important causes through hundreds of personal appearances each year."

Scot received the 2003 American Red Cross Service Award and The Hartford Advocate honored him as the Best News Personality in Connecticut for several consecutive years.

Rev. Lisa Clayton is a Gospel Music Recording Artist, composer, Workshop Clinician and an Ordained Preacher in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She serves as the Minister in Residence at Phillips Metropolitan CME Church, Hartford, CT. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor for over 20 years to both the Hartford Seminary and the University of Connecticut where she directs the UConn Voices of Freedom Gospel Choir. She is a music teacher for the Hartford Public School System and she has most recently become a co-host on the television show, We Hear U, on the Inspired Living Network on Roku and Amazon Firestick. Lisa Clayton is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Paine College, a HBCU in Augusta, GA, received her Master's Degree from the University of Connecticut, Storrs CT and did graduate work at both Hartford Seminary and Boston University.

Pastor Jesse Burgess was born in Springfield Ma. to Mr. & Mrs. Jesse L. Burgess Sr. He is the fourth child of five. He grew up wanting to follow in his mother and father’s footsteps as a quartet singer. He began singing in the choir at Daniels New Bethel COGIC as soon as he could hold a note. He later began singing quartet with his cousins and they eventually became national recording artists known as New Creation. After winning at the McDonald Fest, they went on to sing on The Bobby Jones show, the biggest gospel TV show at that time on B.E.T. In 2016 Pastor Burgess founded his own group, Preacherman & The Singing Saints. In 2021 they released their sophomore project entitled One More Day. Pastor Burgess loves music and have been a gospel radio DJ on 90.7fm in Springfield for the last 20 years.
