When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Our Youth ministry is designed to engage students with the life-giving power of Christ. As we encounter the living God we are never again the same.

We believe God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine!

Apple Picking !

Musings on a Pilgrim Covenant Church Family Event.

by the Odiornes

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23New International Version (NIV))

Right after church on Sunday morning a group of our church family met in Jackson Hall to have some lunch and gather in preparation to go apple picking together.

The Children’s Ministry had organized the event and were very thankful that the weather had cleared.

The group drove out to the Bushy Hill Orchard and boarded the tractor-drawn wagon to be taken to the area that was being harvested. After filling our bags, we re-boarded the wagon for the return trip.

The children that attended posed for pictures behind several props that were set up for that purpose. They also got to see some farm animals before returning to the shoppe for some delicious home-made apple pie and freshly squeezed cider. Please go to Youth Gallery to see photos.

We enjoyed consuming the actual fruit and being consumed by the fruit of the Spirit.
